A strongly confident inference, more formal than に違いない, rather than proof of a fact.

How related patterns differ 比較
どうやら and 模様だ infer from signs; おそらく predicts. に相違ない and に決まっている show strong confidence but are not evidence. ような気がする gives a subjective impression; たしか introduces an uncertain memory.
